2025 was just as busy as 2024 with work and life, and I didn’t read as much as I would have liked. I started several books but lost interest; they’re not listed.
Last year I read some retirement books and was disappointed in this. This year I read The Purpose Code, and it was the best of the like. It’s a bit of an awkward book, but the core ideas are good.
I discovered Dungeon Crawler Carl by accident and haven’t been able to put it down. It’s good pulp, perfect for an airport, on a plane after a long week of travel, or on a Sunday afternoon on the couch. If the RPG elements turn you off in the beginning, just stick with it through Book 1. A metagame develops that is carried through the series.
I was thinking to explore moral philosophy in 2026, but that didn’t happen. The books are still on my list. Frankly, work and life as just too intense to have enough energy for it in 2025.
